Reckenen’s audit process is a risk–based approach in which we identify potential areas of risk that could lead to the misstatement of financial statements. Obtaining an understanding of our clients business as well as its accounting and internal control functions identifies these risk areas. Our audit programs are tailored to each individual client. As a part of our audit services, we prepare a management letter describing noted weaknesses, if any, in the internal control structure, observations regarding efficiency and controls and specific recommendations to resolve any deficiencies noted.
Reckenen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Center for Audit Quality and the Government Audit Quality Center. Reckenen has successfully completed all peer reviews to date. Each peer review has included a review of audit engagements as required by AICPA standards. The peer review standards were changed effective January 1, 2009, and under the new reporting requirements, the highest report result is “pass.” Under the new standards, we have received a peer review rating of pass, for each peer review, since 2009.
